8.2.3 License

System License displays the build number and features supported by the license. The build number can be used to determine if the most recent version has been installed.

The “Lite” and “Pro” versions of Myron are identical except for the enabled features. Pro features are indicated in this guide by the icon .

A Lite version of Myron can be upgraded to a Pro version by installing a license. The license is unique for each user and may contain the user's name although generic names are used in the general distributions. The name of the licensee is used to brand saved workspace files. The license resides in a file named Myron.license in the Myron directory.

To install a license in the desktop version of Myron, simply copy the license file (Myron.license) to the Myron directory. Restart Myron and check License .

The Myron directory on Android devices is not accessible from a file manager, so the license file cannot be copied there. . However, the license file can be imported into Myron's file space from any of several sources.

Email. Mail the license to yourself as an attachment. Then, from the email app on your device, download and open the attachment.

Dropbox. If the Dropbox application is installed and credentialed, a license file uploaded to dropbox.com can be found in the Dropbox app and shared to Myron.

File manager. Many file-manager apps can share files to registered applications. The goal here is to get the license file into a public directory, like Download, and use the same interaction as Dropbox, i.e., find the file and share it.

Figure 8.3 enumerates the program features controlled by the license.
